At the core of our business are highly experienced electricians trained to JIB (Joint Industry Board) standard, certified, accredited engineers and a host of technicians. We boast an outstanding staff retention rate, not least because of our commitment to staff training, staff development and innovation.
Our electricians and technicians are supported, where required, by multi-skilled engineers and dynamic project managers, as well as a vibrant, efficient back office staff who ensure seamless coordination across every project, whether we are working as part of the team or leading a design & build.
A qualified electrician with over 27 year’s industry experience working within the built environment and M&E industries, Gary is joint Managing Director of Mimram. Since purchasing the business from its founder in 2003 with a staff of just two, under Gary’s stewardship the company continues to enjoy increasing growth and financial success, and today employs close to 200 people.
Committed to building lasting client relationships, and a firm believer in the importance of fully understanding a project’s requirements regardless of size, prior to taking over the business, Gary ran numerous high profile electrical projects for some of today’s industry giants.
A fully qualified electrician, Paul has been both business owner and managing director within the building services sector for over 20 years. Passionate about business development and building client relationships, during this time he successfully transformed loss making companies into profitable ones by increasing turnover and margin and reducing overheads.
Paul previously spent six years as Managing Director for a new start up building services company in Australia before being enticed back to the UK by Mimram to help develop the firm into the major industry player that it is today.
With 24 years electrical industry experience working on commercial, refurbishment and educational projects, Gareth leads a team of M&E project managers on a variety of design and build contracts.
An approved electrician with a wealth of electrical, technical supervisory and project management experience, Gareth is responsible for all aspects of electrical project management from estimating through to settling final accounts of up to £2million.
An HNC qualified mechanical projects manager with 19 years construction industry experience, Stephen heads up a team of mechanical and electrical project managers across a diverse range of sectors.
Skilled in managing multi-million pound industrial, commercial and domestic projects from tender stage to completion, prior to joining Mimram, Stephen spent five years with a major construction company, responsible for the M&E design process on universities, schools, hospitals and office developments.
Carlos Nunez Vegas
Carlos graduated in Construction Engineering from University of Edinburgh, majoring in structural and mechanical engineering. After joining the firm in 2011, he was quickly promoted to Project Manager, responsible for £1million+ projects including specialist LEV systems, mechanical works for residential schemes and more recently a specialist, large scale air handling plant for General Motors.
Before joining the company, Carlos spent five years in Spain as a freelance consultant, designing and developing various mechanical building services schemes from high to low voltage electricity substations, HVAC systems for municipal buildings and building services in apartment blocks. During this period, he obtained a Masters Degree in HVAC systems and Project Management at the Polytechnic University of Madrid.
One of Eamon’s primary responsibilities is carrying out surveying and estimating works for high profile clients to include IBC (Vauxhall Motors), BWI Manufacturing and Nissan Car technology, where he works closely with factory engineers and consultants.
Responsible for Health & Safety, Quality Management and project audits to make sure jobs are carried out to a high and correct standard, Eamon also works closely with JTL overseeing apprentice assignments, training and project rotation ensuring all aspects of trades are correctly covered.
Sarah joined the company in 2006 to help manage the business’s HR, Payroll, Accounting and Management Accounts functions.
Responsible for employing and managing the Administration and Accounts teams, Sarah also reports to the Board, providing the firm’s management team with critical accounts and financial information.
Special Works Manager
Owen is a degree qualified accountant and project manager with 12 years’ post graduate experience as Operations and Commercial Manager within the electrical and general building contracting industry.
Prior to moving to the UK in 2012, he spent 18 years in Australia as a trade qualified electrical technician, high voltage cable jointer and cable laying supervisor within the electrical supply and heavy mining industry.
Site Temporary Services Manager
An approved electrician with extensive mechanical knowledge and over 17 years of experience working within the commercial and industrial sectors, Paul Kelly heads up the Site Temporary Services arm of the business.
Since first joining the business as an approved electrician in 2000, he was promoted to Site Temporary Services Manager in 2008, where today he is responsible for overseeing and delivering contracts from tender stage to final completion. Prior to joining Mimram Paul worked as an electrician for P O’Neill Electrical where he completed his electrical apprenticeship.
An HNC qualified mechanical services engineer, Leah first joined the company in 2013 as Senior Estimator before quickly being promoted to Estimating Manager. Due to her no nonsense approach and acute attention to detail, her estimating department is dedicated to offering clients sound and accurate project planning and advice.
Prior to joining Mimram, Leah spent over six years as Mechanical Estimator for a leading M&E Contractor where she was responsible for pricing the technical elements of building projects within the commercial, healthcare and education sectors.
